Welcome to Badass w/ Lynch

My name is Keri Badavas, a 42-year-old wife and mother of two living with Lynch Syndrome. Lynch Syndrome is a genetic condition that increases the risk of many different kinds of cancer and at a young age.

"1 in 279 people are positive for Lynch and 95% of them don't know it".

Now, read that again! I was a part of that 95% until the age of 40, although realistically I was born with this genetic disorder, only to find out 40 years later through a Myriad Genetic Cancer Test. Upon receiving the news, I felt as if my world had come to an end. I was overwhelmed with questions such as, what is Lynch and how will this impact my life moving forward? Learning to live with a genetic cancer disorder completely disrupted my world and from that moment on I knew my life would never be the same. From the constant doctors' visits, preventative surgeries, yearly procedures, and not to mention the constant worry of every ache and pain wondering - could this be cancer?  I started this Nonprofit in order for others with Lynch to find a community of love and support, help educate others on Lynch, the IMPORTANCE of genetic testing and to hopefully save lives along the way. Living with Lynch is not an easy task, but with the right support it can help make each day become more manageable. Just remember this...

ONLY A BADASS CAN LIVE WITH LYNCH
